Churches ring bells for interfaith prayer against COVID-19

Churches across the Philippines rang their bells at 3 PM on Holy Wednesday, April 8, signaling the start of an interfaith prayer service against COVID-19.

The event was organized by the Inter Agency Task Force on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID) and led by Bishop Oscar Florencio representing the Catholic faithful.

Archbishop Romulo Valles of the CBCP emphasized that ringing church bells would demonstrate unity among different faiths during these challenging times.
