Catriona Gray launches Payak furniture line

Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray has launched her first furniture line named 'Payak' in collaboration with local brand Genteelhome.

The collection includes five pieces such as the Mayon Lounge Chair, Pinay Accent Chair, Balik Tanaw Side Table, Beh and She Side Tables, and Kapit-Bisig shelf, which took a year to develop.

Gray recently revealed that her favorite piece in the collection is the Balik-Tanaw side table due to its built-in picture frame feature allowing personal customization with mementos and photographs.

Each piece is crafted using traditional Filipino materials like teak wood, lampakanay ropes, and abaca weaving, with designs inspired by cultural elements like the baro't saya and T'boli bangles.

Gray's dream home in Pasig City now features all five pieces from her collection, which she designed to fit her vibrant and eclectic taste.

The furniture line represents 'slow living' and aims to help people express their authentic selves at home, with finishes that make the designs suitable for both indoor and outdoor settings.
