Biado visits PSC chief after historic win, plans more tournaments

Two-time World Pool champion Carlo Biado visited Philippine Sports Commission Chairman Patrick Gregorio on Friday following his historic win in Saudi Arabia.

During a press conference after the courtesy call, Biado shared the challenges he faced before and during the tournament, including illness upon arrival in Jeddah.

Pool legends such as Efren 'Bata' Reyes, Francisco 'Django' Bustamante, Chezka Centeno, and PSC Commissioner Olivia 'Bong' Coo were present to support Biado.

Biado expressed his joy at making history and bringing the trophy back to the Philippines, emphasizing the importance of purpose in his victory.

Upon returning home, Biado visited the Bahay Aruga & Women's Wellness Center in Parañaque City to give back and share his blessings with children and elderly residents.

Gregorio praised Biado's achievement, stating that sports is a great equalizer and commended him for his hard work and success.

Biado plans to compete in the Florida Open from August 5-10 and the US Open from August 18-23, aiming to bring more championships back to the Philippines.
