Carla Abellana rescues injured stray dog on NLEX

Kapuso actress Carla Abellana rescued an aspin (asong Pinoy) that was hit by a vehicle and left injured along the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), bringing it to a veterinary clinic.

Carla witnessed the incident while driving home from work and immediately stopped her vehicle, searching for the injured animal with the help of her personal assistant Anna.

Anna found the dog lying motionless on some shrubs; Carla then placed him in her van, keeping him warm during transport.

At the vet clinic, the dog showed no broken bones or internal damage, which Carla called a 'miracle'.

Carla named the rescued dog 'PUPPY' and shared the story on Instagram to raise awareness about animal safety.

The actress has been an advocate for animal welfare since adopting two dogs from PAWS in 2020.

Carla currently stars in 'Widows' War', a series directed by Zig Dulay, which airs weekdays at 8:50 p.m. on GMA Prime.
