Nancy Binay files COC for Makati mayor, vows to maintain social services and prioritize education

Senator Nancy Binay filed her Certificate of Candidacy for Makati mayor on Tuesday and vowed to maintain the city's social services and prioritize education.

Binay arrived early at Barangay Valenzuela Community Hall to submit her COC, which was endorsed by former Vice President Jejomar Binay. She pledged to enhance governance using her Senate experience and continue her father’s 'Alagang at Serbisyong Binay' initiative.

Outgoing Makati City Mayor Abby Binay filed her certificate of candidacy for senator on Friday, expressing a desire to amend the local government code and provide free maintenance medicine for the poorest citizens.

Mayor Abby confirmed that her husband Luis Campos will file his COC on Saturday as he runs against Nancy in the mayoralty race. She stated she would prioritize social programs if elected senator and refuted claims from Nancy's camp that their father, former Vice President Jejomar Binay, supported Nancy’s bid.
