CA confirms appointments of 19 DFA officials

On Tuesday, the Commission on Appointments confirmed the ad interim appointments and promotions of 19 officials from the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), including Undersecretary Eduardo Jose De Vega.

Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Estrada praised the DFA appointees for their dedication to foreign policy and international relations, highlighting that these officials will uphold Filipino interests abroad and strengthen diplomatic ties.

Among those confirmed was Eduardo De Vega as Chief of Mission Class 1 and Ambassador to France with concurrent jurisdiction over Monaco.

The appointments also included Maria Elena Palo Algabre as Ambassador to Hungary, Christopher Baltazar Montero as Ambassador to Indonesia, Domingo Pradiez Nolasco as Non-Resident Ambassador to Estonia in addition to being Ambassador to Finland, and others.

Estrada commended the DFA officials for their professional excellence and unwavering commitment to public service, noting that they are invaluable assets in promoting and protecting national interests on the global stage.
