Business groups urge Duterte to push economic recovery plans

Philippine business groups are urging President Duterte to address economic recovery measures, particularly tax cuts and incentives for small businesses, ahead of his State of the Nation Address on Monday.

The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Employers Confederation of the Philippines, and Philippine Exporters Confederation have written to Malacañang requesting a clear action plan to balance health priorities with economic revival.

The groups emphasize the need for legislative measures like the Corporate Recovery and Tax Incentives for Enterprises Act (CREATE) to lower corporate income tax and provide incentives for industries affected by the pandemic.
