BSP warns of fake documents and entities

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) issued a renewed warning on Wednesday about fraudulent documents and entities falsely claiming affiliation with or supervision by the central bank.

These fake claims are being used to obtain money or personal information from unsuspecting individuals, with the BSP advising the public to remain vigilant and verify document authenticity through its official email, bspmail@bsp.gov.ph, or contact number (+632) 8811-1277.

The central bank stressed that its personnel will not extend loans, solicit funds, or request information compromising financial accounts of consumers.

Furthermore, the BSP does not offer deposit accounts for individuals and does not participate in any transactions between private parties.
