Brownlee pledges support for youth basketball

Gilas Pilipinas naturalized player Justin Brownlee has pledged his support for sports and youth development alongside Milka Romero and the 1Pacman Party-list.

Brownlee, who became a Filipino citizen in January 2023 through outgoing Rep. Mikee Romero's initiative, expressed gratitude for his citizenship and eagerness to contribute to Philippine basketball.

The 36-year-old forward aims to work with younger players to foster growth in the sport, particularly in less privileged areas of the country.

Brownlee's naturalization allowed him to join Gilas Pilipinas, where he has been instrumental in historic wins against Latvia and New Zealand.

He remains thankful to everyone involved in his citizenship process and continues to support initiatives that benefit grassroots basketball development.
