Brownlee scores 51 to lead Ginebra past San Miguel

Justin Brownlee scored a career-high 51 points to lead Barangay Ginebra to a 108-102 victory over the San Miguel Beermen in the PBA Season 49 Governors' Cup on Tuesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Brownlee, who turned 36 earlier this month, added 13 rebounds, six steals and five assists, helping Ginebra secure their first win of the conference after a tough road loss to Rain or Shine last weekend.

Despite a slow start, Brownlee scored 19 points in the third quarter and another 16 crucial points down the stretch in the fourth quarter to seal his team's victory.

Brownlee expressed happiness over securing the victory for Ginebra, emphasizing that winning is what truly matters. He also praised his teammates for finding him during critical moments of the game.

Japeth Aguilar contributed 21 points for Ginebra, while RJ Abarrientos added 13. San Miguel was led by Jordan Adams with 23 points and June Mar Fajardo with a double-double of 17 points and 17 rebounds.
