BOC, police seize P8.24M vape contraband, arrest consignee

Vape products worth P8.24 million were seized by the Bureau of Customs (BOC) and police in Clark, Pampanga.

The contraband, believed to have originated from China, was intercepted at the port of Clark on August 11.

During inspection, authorities discovered 20,610 Black Ultra vape pods concealed within 69 boxes, which were misdeclared as non-commercial items and shoes.

A warrant of seizure and detention was issued against the shipment for violating Republic Act 10863 and a department order by the Bureau of Philippine Standards.

In a follow-up operation in Quiapo, Manila on Thursday, the consignee of the seized goods was arrested.
