BOC exceeds Jan revenue target by PHP1.33B

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) exceeded its revenue collection target by PHP1.33 billion in January 2025.

The bureau collected a total of PHP78.015 billion, marking an 8.1 percent increase from the same period last year and exceeding the previous year's January collections by PHP5.947 billion.

Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio emphasized that sustaining revenue growth while ensuring smooth trade and strong border protection remains a priority for the bureau.

Rubio vowed to continue implementing measures to improve performance, including innovation and collaboration with stakeholders.

In 2024, the BOC collected PHP931.046 billion in revenues, marking the highest annual revenue in the agency's history.

During the BOC’s 123rd founding anniversary celebration last February, President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. commended the bureau for its gains despite past controversies and allegations of corruption.
