BoC exceeds July target by PHP1.094B despite work suspension

Bureau of Customs (BoC) Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno announced on Friday that his office exceeded the July 2025 collection target by PHP1.094 billion, raising P85.459 billion.

Despite a four-and-a-half-day work suspension last week due to severe weather conditions, collections surpassed the Development Budget Coordination Committee's (DBCC) target of P84.365 billion.

The BoC's July 2025 collection is higher than June 2025’s P77.035 billion and exceeds July 2024’s P80.355 billion, marking the highest monthly collection this year with a 6.4 percent increase.

From January to July 2025, the BOC collected PHP544.230 billion in revenues, reflecting significant growth under Nepomuceno's leadership and contributing to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s fiscal agenda.

Nepomuceno attributed the positive performance to targeted revenue sources and reforms focused on transparency, accountability, and operational efficiency.
