Chinese fugitive arrested for kidnapping in Parañaque

A Chinese fugitive suspected of involvement in a kidnapping syndicate was arrested on September 23 in Parañaque City by Philippine authorities in coordination with Chinese officials.

Hu Yang, also known as Lin Zihao, 37, is wanted for kidnapping and torture by the Public Security Bureau of Jinjiang City in China.

Several of Hu's accomplices were apprehended earlier this year in Metro Manila and Pampanga.

BI Officer-in-Charge Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado emphasized that the arrest underscores their commitment to working with international partners to combat criminal activities.

Hu's passport has been revoked, and he is currently under local police custody while facing charges in the Philippines.
