BI arrests Chinese drug suspect wanted by Interpol

A Chinese national wanted for drug trafficking has been arrested in Parañaque City by the Bureau of Immigration's Fugitive Search Unit.

Ouyang Shixing, 40, was apprehended inside his condominium unit and is subject to a red notice from Interpol issued in 2024.

He faces an arrest warrant from China’s public security bureau for drug trafficking activities that occurred on May 12, 2023, when he allegedly purchased methamphetamine and sold it for approximately $10,000 (P567,309.58).

Ouyang fled to the Philippines after conducting illegal transactions in Hong Kong and has overstayed since August 3, 2023.

BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado stated that Ouyang will be deported as an undesirable alien and banned from re-entering the Philippines.
