BI intercepts 15 undocumented foreigners in Tawi-Tawi

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) intercepted at least 15 undocumented foreigners in Tawi-Tawi on Sunday, September 1.

Eight Chinese nationals and seven Malaysians were found aboard two speedboats during a joint maritime patrol by the Maritime Industry Authority, Philippine Navy, and Philippine Army.

Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco confirmed that the individuals are illegal entrants with no record of legal entry into the country.

The intercepted foreigners have been transported to Bongao for processing and will face deportation charges.

Once deported, these individuals will be added to the BI's blacklist, preventing them from re-entering the Philippines.

This interception underscores ongoing efforts by government agencies to enforce immigration laws and prevent unauthorized entry.
