Bersamin leads Cabinet during Marcos' US trip

Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin and two other Cabinet secretaries will manage government operations during President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s visit to Washington, D.C.

Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla and Agrarian Reform Secretary Conrado Estrella III will serve as caretakers while the President is away.

Bersamin stated that constant communication with the President ensures smooth operation of duties, emphasizing everyone's awareness of their responsibilities.

Marcos departed for Washington on Sunday to meet with US President Donald Trump until July 22, 2025.

The visit includes discussions on a 20% tariff rate on Filipino goods entering the US, aiming for a mutually beneficial agreement.

Bersamin also indicated that Marcos could incorporate his Washington meetings into his fourth State of the Nation Address scheduled for July 28.
