Beatrice Luigi Gomez returns home after Top 5 finish at Miss Universe

Beatrice Luigi Gomez returned to the Philippines on Wednesday after finishing in the Top 5 at the 70th Miss Universe pageant.

Gomez was welcomed at the airport by her fellow navy reservists and Filipino fans.

Shamcey Supsup, Miss Universe Philippines director, congratulated Gomez for putting the country back in the top five.

In a press conference on Tuesday, Gomez expressed confidence in her performance and said she aimed to win the crown but acknowledged that other contestants were destined to win.

Gomez stated she had no regrets with her performance as she gave it her all.
