BCDA starts P360M student-athlete dorm in New Clark City

The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) has commenced construction on a P360-million student-athlete dormitory in New Clark City, Capas, Tarlac.

BCDA President Joshua M. Bingcang emphasized the importance of investing in youth through world-class facilities to develop future leaders and sports champions.

The 1,500-square-meter five-storey dormitory, set for completion by 2026, will accommodate up to 400 student-athletes with various amenities including quad-sharing rooms, a dining hall, recreational spaces, administrative offices, and laundry facilities.

Budget Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman highlighted the commitment to providing an environment that inspires young athletes to achieve their full potential.

In addition to the dormitory, BCDA is also building a new gymnasium and gymnastics floor as part of the National Academy of Sports (NAS), which aims to provide world-class facilities for Filipino student-athletes.
