BCDA completes negotiations with 212 Pampanga landowners for SCMB Railway Project

The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) announced on Tuesday that it has completed negotiations with 212 landowners affected by the Pampanga section of the Subic-Clark-Manila-Batangas (SCMB) Railway Project.

Of these, 163 landowners have already received partial or full compensation for their properties.

The SCMB railway project covers a 26.9-kilometer stretch in Porac and Floridablanca, Pampanga, impacting a total of 519 lots.

On March 4, BCDA distributed an additional 36 transfer certificates of title (TCTs) to landowners, bringing the total number of TCTs issued to 104 since November.

BCDA Vice-President Jocelyn L. Caniones highlighted the crucial role played by affected landowners in advancing the Luzon Economic Corridor vision, which aims to enhance connectivity and freight transport services between key ports in the region.
