PSEi ends week positive on bargain hunting

Philippine share prices ended the week positively on Friday due to last-minute bargain hunting.

The PSEi gained 4.66 points or 0.09% to close at 5,346.97, while the All Shares index increased by 21.18 points or 0.65% to 3,259.66.

Philstocks Financial noted that industrials led gains with a 1.68% increase, whereas properties declined by 1.39%.

On Wednesday, the PSEi rose 87.29 points or 1.64% to close at 5,408.52, and the All Shares index increased by 41.04 points or 1.27%.

Philstocks Financial analyst Japhet Tantiangco observed that bargain hunting continued but warned of increasing selling pressures as the gap between losers and winners narrowed.
