Baldwin and Racela get double techs in playoff spat

Ateneo coach Tab Baldwin and Adamson's Nash Racela received double technical fouls during a verbal altercation near the end of the third quarter in their UAAP Season 86 men’s basketball playoff game on Wednesday.

Despite the incident, Ateneo won with a 70-48 victory over Adamson, securing their spot in the Final Four.

Baldwin jokingly claimed he was seeking golfing advice from Racela when the referee intervened, but Racela implied Baldwin's comments were inappropriate and unsuitable for public discussion.

Racela walked past Baldwin without shaking hands after the game, though he said it was unintentional due to focusing on the final play.

Adamson’s Jerom Lastimosa scored a buzzer-beating three-pointer despite suffering a season-ending knee injury earlier.
