SC: All pilot courts can now hold virtual hearings for all cases

The Supreme Court has allowed all pilot courts nationwide to conduct virtual hearings for both criminal and civil cases, regardless of urgency or stage of trial.

Chief Justice Diosdado Peralta issued Administrative Circular No. 39-2020 on Thursday, May 14, authorizing these changes.

Courts in areas under modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) will remain closed until May 31.
