Atin Ito Coalition launches third civilian mission to West Philippine Sea with musical events

Volunteers from the Atin Ito Coalition have boarded the M/V Kapitan Felix Oca in Manila on Sunday, May 25, for a third civilian mission to the West Philippine Sea.

The vessel will depart for El Nido, Palawan, where a pre-departure musical event is scheduled for Monday, and then proceed to Pag-asa Island on Tuesday for a sea concert promoting peace and solidarity.

Performers include Filipino artists Ebe Dancel, Rouge, Morobeats, HORI7ON, Japanese artist Fumi, Indonesian musician Viona, Malaysian musician Kai Mata, and South Korean K-pop group I:Mond.

The mission aims to uplift coastal communities and promote cultural exchange with participants from the Philippines and neighboring countries.

Atin Ito convenor Rafaela David assured readiness for any possible contestation or shadowing by Chinese vessels but emphasized that the mission will not be deterred, aiming to foster regional harmony through shared maritime narratives.
