Archival wins Cebu City mayoral race with over 75% votes

Incumbent Councilor Nestor Archival has been declared the winner in the mayoralty race in Cebu City, securing over 75% of the votes on Monday, May 12.

Archival received 231,411 votes based on final results released by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Tuesday morning, defeating incumbent Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia who garnered 156,351 votes.

Former Cebu City Mayor Tommy Osmeña's Bando Osmeña-Pundok Kauswagan (BO-PK) party supported Archival in his campaign for mayor, with Osmeña securing the vice mayoralty position with 209,846 votes.

Re-electionist Mayor Hilario Davide III is currently in second place with at least 134,404 votes, while former city mayor Mike Rama has garnered 90,916 votes as of the latest count.

Incumbent Cebu City mayor Atty. Raymond Alvin Garcia conceded late Monday night and congratulated Archival and Osmeña on their victories.
