Marcos backs PHP800M in unfinished APECO projects
The Aurora Pacific Economic Zone and Freeport Authority (APECO) will inaugurate two unfinished projects this month, including the PHP27-million Fire Station Project and the PHP28-million Sewage Treatment Plant Project Phase 1.
APECO President Gil Taway IV told the Philippine News Agency that these were among ten projects worth approximately PHP796 million left incomplete by the previous administration and are now being fast-tracked.
Taway also mentioned that the PHP60-million Central Water Project Phase 1, which is around 60 to 70 percent complete, will be finished next.
During his visit to Baler on July 12, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. promised to continue supporting these unfinished projects worth about PHP800 million in total.
Marcos highlighted that completing these projects would benefit the people of Aurora, as they have been a waste of resources until now.
