Antique starts vaccinating seniors, 89 get shot Thursday

On Thursday, April 22, 89 seniors in Antique received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.

Peace and order consultant Margie Gadian encouraged other elderly residents to get vaccinated, assuring them there were no side effects.

The Department of Education superintendent also got vaccinated, citing her desire not to burden her family financially if she falls ill.

Starting April 21, Antique began vaccinating senior citizens with 2,000 vials of Sinovac received from DOH WV CHD on April 17.

Governor Rhodora Cadiao was the first local chief executive and senior citizen to receive the vaccine on April 12.
