Angie Mead King's Acura NSX burns on SLEX

Angie Mead King's luxury Acura NSX sports car caught fire while she was driving on the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) on Thursday, November 7.

King shared footage of her burnt vehicle on Instagram and mentioned that it is now irreparably damaged, emphasizing that modifications made to the car mean there’s no way to rebuild it.

In a follow-up video posted by her wife Joey Mead King, Angie detailed how she noticed smoke in her rearview mirror just after exiting Biñan on SLEX and managed to pull over before the fire worsened.

King expressed concern about potential fueling issues but acknowledged that determining the exact cause would be difficult without an autopsy for the car. She also mentioned trying to save items from the trunk, including a laptop and camera, which were mostly spared.

Angie assured her followers on Thursday that she is okay and her lungs feel fine now, thanking those who extended their concern and well-wishes after the incident.

She thanked the 'Good Samaritan' who picked her up at SLEX when she got out of her burning car and expressed gratitude to the fire, towing, and police services for their speedy response.
