Angeles City shuts public market over COVID-19 positive vendor

Angeles City shut down its main public market on Wednesday after a 21-year-old vendor with diabetes tested positive for COVID-19.

The vendor died two days after being admitted to the Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center, and Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. called an emergency meeting to conduct rapid testing of all stall owners and vendors.

The city government will also disinfect the market premises.
