DSWD readies relief goods for Dante-hit regions

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has prepared relief goods for residents affected by Tropical Storm Dante in the Ilocos Region and Eastern Visayas.

In the Ilocos Region, DSWD has readied 18,936 family food packs with rice, canned goods, and coffee, as well as hygiene kits and sleeping kits.

For Eastern Visayas, DSWD prepositioned 10,809 family food packs in strategic areas for immediate distribution to storm-affected families.

The relief goods will be distributed by local government units (LGUs) within 24 hours after the turnover to them.
