EPD launches all-female checkpoint for National Women's Month

The Eastern Police District (EPD) launched an all-female checkpoint on Friday, March 21, in Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City, as part of National Women's Month celebrations.

The initiative recognizes women's significant role in law enforcement and aims to promote gender equality among its personnel while increasing police visibility in the area.

EPD Acting Director Col. Villamor Tuliao emphasized that fostering better relationships with communities can increase trust and cooperation for public safety.

The checkpoint operates during two shifts: from 3 a.m. to 4 a.m. and from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Tuliao noted that the presence of female officers in handling police operations like checkpoints fosters stronger relationships with communities, leading to increased trust and cooperation.
