Alexa Uichico-Gutierrez, 38, dies after leukemia battle

Alexandra 'Alexa' Uichico-Gutierrez, wife of former child star Elvis Gutierrez and daughter-in-law of screen veterans Eddie and Annabelle Rama, passed away on Saturday, July 27 after a brief battle with leukemia at the age of 38.

Elvis Gutierrez shared a heartwarming post remembering Alexa, who was 19 in the photo he captured when she first learned to drive, expressing his deep sorrow for her loss.

Ruffa Gutierrez, Elvis's sister and actress, announced Alexa's death on her Instagram account on Sunday, describing her as a 'brave and beautiful soul' and a 'devoted wife'.

Sarah Lahbati, ex-wife of Richard Gutierrez (Elvis’s brother), also paid tribute to Alexa by sharing photos from their past adventures together.

Alexa leaves behind her husband Elvis Gutierrez and their two daughters, Aria and Ezra, as well as an outpouring of support from fellow celebrities including Iza Calzado, Kaila Estrada, Rufa Mae Quinto, Jackie Forster, Sunshine Cruz, Marjorie Barretto, Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla, Bela Padilla, Toni Gonzaga, Camille Prats, Sharon Cuneta, Claudine Barretto, Isabel Oli-Prats, Jackie Lou Blanco, Ogie Alcasid, and Aiko Melendez.

Alexa's wake will take place at the Santuario De San Antonio in Makati City from July 29 to July 31 with her inurnment scheduled for August 1.
