Alas Pilipinas teams prep for AVC, FIVB tournaments

The Alas Pilipinas men's and women's volleyball teams are preparing for upcoming Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) tournaments, including the AVC Men's Nations Cup from June 17 to 24 in Bahrain and the AVC Women's Cup from June 7 to 14 in Hanoi.

The Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) is aiming to ensure both teams are well-prepared for these challenges and the FIVB Men's World Championships hosted by the Philippines in September.

Before competing in Bahrain, the men's team will engage in the Alas Pilipinas Invitationals from June 10 to 12 at the Araneta Coliseum as preparation for the world championship.

The women’s team, bronze medalists from last year's AVC Challenge Cup, will face Kazakhstan, Iran, Indonesia, Mongolia, and New Zealand in Pool B of the Hanoi competition.

Additionally, the Alas Women's Under-16 team will compete in the AVC Women's U16 Championship in Amman, Jordan, from July 20 to 27, facing Japan, Iran, and Saudi Arabia in Pool B.
