Alas Pilipinas trains abroad before World Championship

Alas Pilipinas Men's volleyball team plans to enhance their skills through overseas training camps across Asia and Europe, with nine months until the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship 2025.

The Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) president Ramon 'Tats' Suzara announced that the team will train in Japan, Portugal, Spain, and Italy for three to four months before returning home in June for final preparations.

Suzara also aims to organize a pocket tournament featuring Alas Pilipinas against South Korea, Japan, and one European team as a test event 100 days prior to the World Championships.

The championship will begin on September 12 at the Mall of Asia Arena with Alas Men facing African champion Tunisia, followed by matches against Egypt and Iran in Manila and other venues like Araneta Coliseum and Rizal Memorial Coliseum.

Japan donated used volleyball equipment to support grassroots development through its 'Sport for Tomorrow' program, turning over balls, nets, and poles to the PNVF at their new office in Taguig.
