Akari edges Farm Fresh 3-2 in PVL All-Filipino quarterfinal

Akari narrowly defeated Farm Fresh in a five-set match to secure their spot in the quarterfinals of the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday at PhilSports Arena.

Ivy Lacsina led Akari with 22 points, including 21 kills and an emotional post-match statement about her team's dedication and sacrifices.

Grethcel Soltones returned from injury to contribute 11 points in the decisive set, helping Akari pull away for a 15-9 victory.

Farm Fresh, despite leading earlier in the match, fell short of an upset as they lost momentum in the final sets, with Trisha Tubu scoring a game-high 23 points but not enough to overcome Akari's comeback.

Akari will face Galeries Tower in the quarterfinals while Farm Fresh joins Cignal and Capital1 in Pool A of the play-in tournament for playoff qualification.
