AJ Edu close to FIBA World Cup debut after overcoming injuries

AJ Edu, a 6-foot-10 big man who has endured multiple knee injuries, is close to making his debut with Gilas Pilipinas for the FIBA World Cup.

Edu expressed excitement about playing at the highest level and learning from NBA-caliber players.

Despite sitting out all six tune-up games in Europe due to an ankle injury, Edu performed well in the Heyuan WUS International Basketball Tournament in China, averaging 8.5 points per game as Kai Sotto was absent.
