Agatha Wong, Raphael Trinidad named Philippines' flag-bearers for World Games

Wushu athlete Agatha Wong and wakeboarding champion Raphael Trinidad have been named as the Philippines' flag-bearers for the World Games in Chengdu, China from August 7-17.

Philippine Olympic Committee president Abraham Tolentino made this announcement during an executive board meeting in Tagaytay City on Friday.

Wong will compete alongside two other wushu athletes, while Trinidad secured his spot after winning gold at a January event in Angeles, Pampanga.

The Philippines will send 42 athletes to the World Games, including 12 dragon boat participants who have yet to finalize their roster.

Among the delegation are world champions Rubilen Amit in billiards and Kaila Napolis in jiu-jitsu, along with Asian champion Hergie Bacyadan from kickboxing, who also competed in boxing at the Paris Olympics.
