AFP has evacuation plans for Filipinos in Middle East

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has contingency plans in place to evacuate Filipinos from the Middle East amid current tensions.

General Romeo Brawner Jr., AFP chief, stated that their evacuation operation is ready with aircraft and ships if needed, as demonstrated during previous conflicts when they deployed two naval vessels to bring home Filipino workers who wanted to return home.

The military's non-combatant evacuation operations (NEO) have been ongoing for a long time, showcasing the readiness of C-130 transport aircraft and naval vessels for immediate deployment upon government orders.

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) expressed condolences for a Filipina caregiver who died in Israel due to injuries from an Iranian missile attack.

Leah Mosquera, 49, from Negros Occidental, underwent multiple surgeries and fought for her life in the ICU for several weeks before passing away.
