Adiong reelected as Lanao del Sur governor

Lanao del Sur Governor Mamintal 'Bombit' Alonto Adiong Jr. secured another term with 171,528 votes based on partial and unofficial results as of Tuesday, May 13.

Adiong first served as governor in 2007 and completed three consecutive terms until 2016 before serving one term as vice governor.

He returned to the position of governor in 2019 and is currently running under the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) party.

His son, Mohammad Khalid 'Mujam' Raki-in Adiong, won his third consecutive term as vice governor.

Representative Ziaur-Rahman Alonto Adiong, Governor Adiong's brother, and cousin Yasser Alonto Balindong also secured their positions under the same party.
