Philippines' COVID-19 war chest reaches P1.04T

As of mid-July, the Philippines' war chest against the COVID-19 crisis increased to $21.05 billion (about P1.04 trillion), still lower than most Southeast Asian neighbors when adjusted for population.

The Asian Development Bank's database shows this amount has risen from $20.1 billion in June, $19.8 billion in May, and $16.5 billion in April.

This war chest includes liquidity support provided by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) which reached P264.7 billion.
