Adamson sweeps De La Salle in softball, 7-0

Adamson University swept the first round of the UAAP Season 87 Softball tournament with a dominant 7-0 victory over De La Salle University in six innings on Tuesday, March 11.

Glory Alonzo's game-ending hit secured the win for Adamson, allowing Alaiza Talisik to score and end the match after one hour and 55 minutes.

Adamson showcased strong offensive play with seven hits, led by rookie Jhaycel Roldan who delivered a clutch hit in the fifth inning to extend the lead to 5-0.

Head coach Ana Santiago praised her team's improving offense and emphasized the importance of maintaining focus and composure as they head into the second round which begins on Saturday.

Pitcher April Minanga was instrumental on defense for Adamson, allowing only one hit while striking out seven batters.
