Abalos urges Quiboloy to surrender on abuse charges

Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos Jr. urged fugitive Pastor Apollo Quiboloy to surrender and face abuse and trafficking charges as court warrants have been issued.

Abalos emphasized that Quiboloy's innocence will be determined through due process in the courts, urging him to cooperate with legal proceedings.

The Philippine National Police is conducting active search operations within the 30-hectare Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) compound in Davao City since Saturday.

Kingdom of Jesus Christ legal counsel Israelito Torreon claims there's a threat to Quiboloy's life, suggesting possible 'extraordinary rendition' to the US, though no evidence has been provided.

Neither Quiboloy nor his lawyers have substantiated claims of a conspiracy between the US and the Marcos Jr. administration.

Abalos stressed that police operations will continue until Quiboloy is apprehended, despite challenges faced by law enforcement personnel.
