83-yr-old becomes oldest to climb Mt. Apo

An 83-year-old man from Davao City became the oldest person to climb Mount Apo, the Philippines' highest peak.

Pascacio Carcedo reached the summit on Sunday after training by climbing three smaller mountains in Sta. Cruz.

Carcedo expressed gratitude to his guides Lito Palao and Armel Senedo for their assistance.

He surpassed an 80-year-old Singaporean who previously held the record.
