LSI positive cases at Rizal Memorial rise to over 20

As of Tuesday, July 28, at least 20 locally stranded individuals (LSIs) at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex have tested positive for COVID-19 via rapid tests.

On Monday, eight to nine LSIs had initially tested positive and were isolated in an area set up by officials.

The number of positive cases is expected to rise as testing continues. Some LSIs slept on the streets outside due to overcrowding inside the stadium.

Those who test positive undergo confirmatory swab tests; if results are confirmed, they will be brought to a quarantine facility, while negative cases can travel based on doctors' assessment.
