Most new COVID-19 cases in provinces are OFWs, LSIs

As of Saturday, July 18, most new COVID-19 cases in provinces are returning overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and locally stranded individuals (LSIs).

Cagayan Valley reported sixteen new cases, with fourteen being LSIs and two OFWs.

Batangas City had the highest number of cases in its region; Lipa City saw an airline employee test positive.

Bataan reported one new case and twenty-two recoveries on Saturday, including six children among the recovered patients.

The total confirmed cases in Bataan rose to 273 with 57 active cases as of Friday.
