59 couples marry in San Juan's Valentine mass wedding

Fifty-nine couples, including three elderly pairs, celebrated Valentine's Day by getting married in San Juan City's annual Kasalang Panlungsod event on Friday.

Mayor Francis Zamora and his wife Keri Zamora officiated the mass wedding at the San Juan Gymnasium, alongside other city government officials and representatives from the Philippine Statistics Authority.

The mayor emphasized that this event is a way for the city to support love and commitment among its residents, stating that strong families form the foundation of a strong society.

In addition to the ceremony, each couple received gifts such as wedding cakes, bouquets, a festive reception, and P5,000 to celebrate their union with six witnesses.

San Juan City also offers free childbirth services at the San Juan Medical Center and has a Golden Wedding Anniversary Incentive Ordinance that rewards married couples who reach 50 years of marriage with P50,000.
