Over 350 distressed PH OFWs from Saudi return

Over 350 distressed OFWs from Saudi Arabia returned to the Philippines on Wednesday via a chartered Philippine Airlines flight.

The majority of these workers were from shelters in Riyadh and eastern regions of Saudi Arabia.

On Tuesday, another batch of 54 remains of OFWs who died in Saudi arrived in Manila, bringing the total number of repatriated remains since July 10 to over 187.

DOLE instructed OWWA to provide necessary assistance to the returning workers and continues efforts to support OFWs affected by the pandemic.
