3 men arrested in Korean nationals' abduction, victims rescued

Three men were arrested on Sunday afternoon in Mabalacat City, Pampanga for their alleged involvement in the abduction of two Korean nationals.

The suspects were apprehended after police received a tip identifying the vehicle used in the kidnapping.

During the operation, the two victims—residents of Angeles City—were safely rescued.

Police seized three firearms, 44 live rounds, and various IDs from the arrested individuals.

The Korean Embassy has advised its nationals to limit outdoor activities due to safety concerns, citing over 200 criminal incidents this year involving Koreans in the Philippines.

To address security issues, the national police plan to enhance protective measures for foreigners by expanding tourist police services and training officers in foreign languages.
