DSWD: Over 5.7M got SAP aid

As of Wednesday, over 5.7 million beneficiaries have received assistance under the Social Amelioration Program amid the COVID-19 crisis.

The DSWD has distributed more than P75.7 million to 1,456 local government units across the country.

Of this amount, P27.9 billion has been given to over 5.7 million beneficiaries, with P11.5 billion going to non-4Ps beneficiaries and an additional P16.3 billion to 4Ps cash card holders.

According to Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles, more than 4.5 million low-income households have received emergency subsidies, representing over 25% of the 18 million target beneficiary families.
