160 stranded Pinoys repatriated from Japan after two months

A total of 160 Filipino tourists, students, and overseas workers stranded in Japan for about two months were repatriated on Monday.

The passengers came from all over Japan and faced flight cancellations, limited seat availability, or high rebooking costs.

Philippine Ambassador Jose Laurel V assured the Filipinos of continued government support during their send-off at Narita International Airport.

Deputy Chief of Mission Robespierre Bolivar noted that many tourists and students received welfare and financial aid due to budget constraints.
